Born in Minneapolis, raised mostly in Cincinnati, I've spent my whole career in the room where someone wants something amazing, on a schedule, on a budget.
First in Hollywood: eight years in story development at Warner Bros. and MTV Films. Then twenty years building visual content technology for agencies big and boutique, Fortune 500s and one-owner shops, from Flash to mobile to 3D to the AI pipelines on this site.
The line I carry comes from filmmaker John Milius, who caught me looking gutted in a production meeting as a film's budget got cut and said, "Kid, this business ain't about art, it's about commerce. Art is nice if it happens." Words that still drive me today.
Off the clock I build movie props, animatronic monsters, and things out of wood. I like the creative process, and I like a break from screens.
What I want now is to be part of this technology as it advances, helping find ways to augment the ideas and stories people tell.
